Not bad, historic! This marathon seems to also run in Nebraska and South Dakota, quite clever. Is this true? Their WEBSITE.

There is also a Lewis & Clark race held in St. Charles, Mo in Oct.

The Siouxland Lewis & Clark Marathon does start in Nebraska. After the first 4.5-5.0 miles runners cross the Missouri River into Iowa and stay there for the rest of the race. You can see South Dakota for several miles during the race, but the course does not actually go into it.

FYI - Because of road construction, the event will not be held in 2010, but it will return in 2011!
